How To Protect Black Skin From Acne

To apply the Acne Cure program to Black skin, however, requires more care. Here are the specifics of the program for Black skin.

Step 1: Cleaning Away Excess Dead Cells

Remember that, on the one hand, the stratum corneum of Black skin tends to be thinner, while on the other, it tends to be denser. In addition, since the sebaceous glands in Black skin tend to produce more sebum, it is usually kept oilier.

Step 1 for the Acne Cure program breaks into two parts:

1. Cleanse your face thoroughly with a mild, oil-free cleanser. (Plain water will do if your face is not particularly dirty.)

2. Complete the cleansing with a 2 % salicylic acid wash. Be especially careful not to use a stronger solution.

Step 2: Removing the Clog

The second step of the Acne Cure program is exactly the same for Black as for White skin: Apply glycolic acid, using exactly the same method as described earlier.

While the treatment is the same as for White skin, Black skin enjoys a side benefit from glycolic acid. If your skin has suffered from post-acne discoloration, glycolic acid will probably improve the condition by blending the discoloration. Nothing short of surgery will make the scars go away. But with glycolic acid, they may retreat. In any case, the glycolic acid will be the effective second step in making sure that no new scars form.

We should add one minor caveat to the use of glycolic acid on Black skin. There is a possibility that, in stronger concentrations than we recommend gfycolic acid can bleach Black hair to a grayish tint. We doubt that this would occur at our proposed concentration, but we suggest nevertheless that you keep the product away from your hair.

Step 3: Stopping the Disease Dead in Its Tracks

The third step in curing acne in Black skin is similar to, but not quite the same as, that for White skin. That is because BP, the main reagent used for Step 3, may occasionally, leave brown spots on dark skin.

Thus, before you start, make certain that the BP product you have purchased is at a concentration that definitely does not exceed 5.00/0.:j Indeed, if you can find a product with a lower concentration, down to ,; as little as 2.5%, that would be preferable. At this level, the product remains fully efficacious but carries little risk of causing discoloration. The remaining risk will be further reduced if, before you, apply the BP, you make sure that your whole face is very wet from the ,: ice cubes.

Apply only a very thin layer of the benzoyl peroxide product. In even minimal quantities, BP will be effective in eliminating P. acnes, but the less you apply, the smaller will be the chance of discoloration. Then, gently but insistently, rub the product in all over your face, including those areas where you don’t have any acne. The reason for wetting the whole face and then applying BP over all its surface is , that, if you cover only part of it, you will likely “spillover” in some’ places and risk discoloration there. In any case, a massage of your whole face feels good even if you have to administer it to yourself.

Why You Should Use Sunless Tanning?

In recent years an alternative to regular tanning has been to use sun-beds or booths; it has become the way to ensure a tan twelve months of the year. It has become a recognized fact that too much sun is dangerous for our skin and causes many problems which is why the new artificial methods have proved so popular. Of course it was only a matter of time before the spray tanning system became popular owing to how quick it is. The spray system appears to be more consistent than other artificial methods like crams or lotions where streak marks are not uncommon.

In an effort to win even more followers, spray tanning manufacturers have developed systems where you can apply the tan at home. Irrespective of the system you decide to use, there are some steps you can take to improve the look of your fake tan. Initially you need to exfoliate which will eliminate all the dead skin cells from your body. What you don’t want is for people to recognize your tan is a fake by noticing paler patches of skin where the dead skin cells have dropped from your body.

Once this process is complete, it is advisable to prepare your skin further by applying a moisturizing cream (or lotion) to it which will make the agent easier to apply. Before applying a tanning agent, whether bottle or cream, ensure you are wearing gloves or the orange palms that will follow will give the game away. Lighter coats should always be applied to the joints and feet as they will appear darker, which is a dead giveaway that fake tan has been applied. After a spray tanning application you will want to use a towel to remove any excess that may drip and run.

Try to stay as still as possible whilst any self tanning agent dries as it might smear and cause uneven patches. These agents are notoriously good at marking clothing once they have been applied so you are advised to be careful how soon you get ready afterwards and what you intend to wear. If possible always choose clothing that is darker and preferably something that is old and won’t matter if a stain is left on it. Now that you have this information it should be much easier having a fake tan without anyone knowing.

Information About Botox Injections

If you are intent on reducing lines associated with aging, the chances are you will use botox; there are many myths about what it is and before a person starts a course, it is worth finding out more information. To understand exactly what it is and does, we first have to look at just how this amazing miracle of modern science came to be. It may be famous now for its use in cosmetic surgery but it wasn’t always that way when it was first being studied by scientists half a century ago; It used originally for disorders of the brain.

A few decades later after much research, the FDA granted permission for it to be used medically and the first patients to make use of the drug were those with eye conditions; patients suffering with uncontrollable blinking and crossed eyes were given this and sometimes those who suffered with wrinkles as well. In the year 2000 it was approved to treat cervical dystonia; this eases the pain from serious contractions in the shoulders and neck, but it was also given the ok to be used on another more unusual eye condition. Scientists found that if the botox drug was injected into the lines between the eyebrows it would gradually soften them and make them disappear; after further tests in 2002 the FDA allowed it to be used for the first cosmetic enhancement and the drug finally had a new field of use.

Botox has a paralyzing affect when it is injected into areas of the forehead which control the muscles that cause frowning; given sufficient treatments, frown lines that the person has lived with for many years will gradually fade. With continued use, the frown lines in most instances will completely vanish but the same effect can be found in lines at the sides of the eyes, mouth and other forehead lines. The injections are a purified and watered down version of the sometimes fatal Botulinum poison; these treatments are only a fraction of the true strength which, in other forms, could make us seriously unwell.

Of course we all like to laugh and obviously use our faces for other gestures but the muscles controlling this are the cause of the line we see and obviously, these injections can stop this. The wonderful thing too many people is the treatment can help reduce and often eliminate the signs of aging that have taken years to appear; many cosmetic manufacturers have tried to create creams to eliminate the creases but this is the only treatment to date that can actually rid them from us. These botox injections are used directly into the muscles that control facial expressions and paralyzing them for a short period, effectively making it almost impossible for a person to smile; that’s why people who have had these treatments can look like mannequins.

Whilst the face can still provide expressions, they are seriously reduced but this give the effect of someone looking much younger than they really are. Injections of this very popular cosmetic treatment are still costly; with injections in the low to very high hundreds of dollars each, it looks to remain expensive for some time to come. There is always some concern about new treatments and botox is no exception with many people worried about the long term effects of injections, but even so this has not stopped its popularity.

Acne And Skin Care

It wasn’t that long ago when acne (Zits) was considered a curse for the many individuals that suffer from this problem; but there are now many treatments available which can help the condition so it is more bearable. Research into skin care treatment has been advancing for some time now; this is good news with the range of effective skin care treatments improving all the time. The acne skin care products available fall into these:

* Internet or Drugstore: Treatment that helps prevents condition

* Over-the-Counter: Treatments for conditions that do not require prescription

* Specialized, on-prescription acne products

General or preventative acne products form a large section of the skin care market; these products can be anything from skin cleansers to makeup removers. Many people these days use products like this to maintain their skin; often this is irrespective of whether or not there is a problem condition. There are acne skin care products that are more specialized in there approach; they clean out the pores to help stop sebum or oil which can clog these areas. These types of products are reducing the chance of oil staying in the pores and aiding the growth of harmful bacteria which assists the formation of the skin condition.

Other skin care treatments can help exfoliate the skin; these are easily obtainable in any drug store. Dead skin cells and other atmospheric pollutants are removed cleaning the pores which reduce the chance of any bacterial growth. The growth of the skin care market has allowed even more specialized acne skin care products to be available without the need to visit the doctor. A bacterium that aids the formation of acne is stopped by creams and cleansers that contain benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid; these include creams, cleansers and peels that slow down acne formation.

It is often a good idea to start with a product that has lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (e.g. 5 percent) to see how the skin responds; should a reaction occur, products containing alpha hydroxy acid are generally safer. It might just be a case of trial and error to find an acne skin care product that works; however, if finding an effective remedy it is proving to be a problem then consult with your doctor, or skin care specialist. Only doctors or skin care specialists can prescribe some medications, including the use of antibiotics and certain ointments.

In some case your doctor may suggest the pustules are drained of harmful contents under local anesthetic; this is not something you should ever attempt yourself. Another effective course of skin care treatment is hormone therapy; hormone changes can be responsible for acne but hormone therapy can be very effective when used under prescription. The end result is dealing with this skin complaint is not the problem it once was, there are now a huge range of products specifically formulated for the task.

Anti-Aging Products

It is quite normal to expect people to want to look attractive and this might explain why anti-ageing skin care products are so successful; which is not surprising because we are all living longer and fuller lives so why shouldn’t we want to look younger? This group of beauty products generally works by enabling the synthesis of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue in animals and the most abundant in our body; collagen is so abundant, it makes up about a quarter of the total protein content of structural protein found in skin. Collagen is related to other anti-ageing substances found in the body and other substances; we call them antioxidants, they aid the repair of cell damage associated with cell damage.

Probably the best known of these anti-oxidants is vitamin C although no-one really knows just how much we should have each day. Unfortunately all skin care treatments that use vitamin C have the problem of atmospheric oxidization to contend with once the product is exposed to the air.

Manufacturers are trying alternative skin care treatments to vitamin C that do not have this oxidization problem or cost as much to produce. Although these products are good, they cannot actually compare with vitamin C but fortunately vitamin E and alpha-lipoic acid are also anti-oxidants so can be used to gain the same effect.

Vitamin E is found in the blood and is an antioxidant that is also used to increase the body’s defenses against other health problems; there is some evidence to show it helps prevent diseases including cancer. Lipoic acid, which is found inside every cell of the body, helps generate the energy that keeps us alive and functioning; an additional function is to repair skin damage caused by the normal aging process.

Phytochemicals form the other category of anti-ageing skin care products which are special chemicals that are extracted from plants with a variety of that are used in skin care today. Another benefit of phytochemicals, like those of alpha-lipoic acid, is their ability to reduce the prevalence of certain cancers; such as:

* Cancer that attacks the Prostate

* Cancer of the Breast

* Colon Cancer

These three types of cancer are also becoming a global problem.

For some time now it has also been known that the vitamins B5, B6 and B12 also have anti-ageing skin care properties. This is a vast area that has the potential for many new anti-ageing skin care products and services in the future but research needs to continue. There is no doubt that what has been learned so far is only a small part of the jigsaw puzzle; each year, more is learnt about this topic so reducing the effects of age on the body is just a matter of time.

There may be many challenges still to overcome but in time scientists believe they will succeed in producing more effective anti-ageing skin care products that are less expensive and available to more people. At the moment though, science is still behind the field of natural anti-aging methods; fortunately there is a number of natural anti-aging regimes that can be carried out that do not rely on science. Natural methods are known, but few people actually follow them; what proportion of the population actually eats healthily, takes plenty of exercise, drink sufficient water and obtain restful and regular sleep?

How you can have beautiful skin?

Research into how a person can have beautiful skin has progressed a great deal in recent years; it is all about technique and how frequently you carry out your skin care routine. In the West, women have taken the task of staying attractive to extremes with the use of plastic surgery, liposuction and other invasive treatments. But more natural beauty care products are the order of the day now and whilst they may take a little longer to produce results, they are longer lasting and have other health benefits.

The problem has always been our image of beauty care products like cold cream and the anti-aging formulations. Today’s products are able to do much more after the research that has been carried out and are an important addition to your personal care regime. We often forget that our skin is an organ that needs looking after as it has a difficult job to and needs regular help.

Part one in your daily skin care regime is to use a cleansing agent to remove all the pollutions like smoke, dust and make-up that our skin has to put up with on a daily basis. This part must be carried out with a quality face cleanser placed on a cotton pad moved in a circular pattern then washed with clean warm water, drying with a soft towel but take care not to rub the skin when you do this.

The cleanser can affect the PH balance of your skin so the nest step is to use a toner which will restore this balance. Make sure that you take time to add a little lotion and massage to your routine as moisturizers make your skin look and feel soft and supple and can minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Beauty care products that moisturize the skin also form a barrier to lock in the moisture so the skin does not dry out.

Once or twice weekly you should treat your skin with an exfoliant or natural peel to remove dead skin cells and to deep cleanse your skin as part of you skin care routine. This step means that you will need to cleanse and then use a toner on the skin otherwise the exfoliant may not be completely removed.

If you suffer with lines, wrinkles or puffiness around your eyes then a good beauty care product suggestion is the use of eye creams which will improve the delicate skin in this region. Water is another undervalued commodity that helps detoxify and improve the skin tone along with regular exercise and a good diet. It is not a good idea to forget the important role our skin plays in our overall health and of course how we look so taking care of it is not just about vanity.

Blackhead Removal

Removing blackheads is a useful approach, not only because they are ugly but because they also block the follicles and lead to some of the other changes of acne.

Blackheads can be removed in three ways.

First of all, they can be removed by a blackhead extractor. Clean fingernails should only be used is the blackhead is very near ready to drop out anyway.

The second method is by using abrasives, which act rather like sand paper. The lotion or gel contains millions of minute particles, which are massaged over the blackheads. Various sizes of particles may be used and not everyone will suit every skin. Smaller particles are least irritating but less effective. There are some pads available with an abrasive surface.

Another approach is the use of agents that soften the horny layer and this action helps to loosen blackheads. Salicylic acid is used for this, normally at a concentration of 2%. Benzoyl peroxide not only loosens blackheads but helps to kill bacteria as well. It is one of the most widely used agents for this purpose.
